It’s been a while since I posted, I am sorry! Well, we are now into July, which means we are well and truly into the Summer; and due to current circumstances many of our Summer plans have been cancelled or postponed. So, I am sure there will be many empty minutes this Summer, so here are some things that you can do if you are feeling bored!
- Create a Scrapbook
I know its cliché but a scrapbook is a great way to fill in some time as well as doing something meaningful. You can make one full of memories and have a sentimental feeling or you could make one full of inspiration, aims, goals and your future. It really is customisable and you can make anything you like with it; you can order a scrapbook off many websites (here is one from Paperchase ) and you can print of photos, use pens and ribbons. This is a great way to get creative and have something to keep from the busy year of 2020.
2. Bake something
Again, I know this is a really generic one but maybe try baking something new and adventurous. Try something a little tricky but really it doesn’t matter if it goes wrong! You could try making a big cake or maybe macaroons or eclairs.
3. Write letters
This can be a very lonely time for many so why not take a bit of time to write a letter to a family member or a friend. It could be a simple postcard or a long in depth letter; you could add drawings and photos or just keep it simple.
4. Have a TV marathon
This could be a binge on a Netflix series or Harry Potter. I also sometimes love to go back and rewatch some old favourites. Either way its a fun (though lazy) way to spend a long morning or rainy afternoon.
5. Try out a new diet
If you ant, trying out new diets can be fun and beneficial. You could go sugar free/vegan/vegetarian/dairy free/gluten free. It is also a great opportunity to try out some new recipes and experiment with your cooking and baking.
6. Spring (more summer) clean
Sort through your wardrobe, go through old photos, get rid of old stuff and just make your place feel a little neater and cleaner – you won’t regret it especially when life gets busier in the Autumn.
7. Experiment with your appearance
Try out a new hairstyle, a new style of outfit, paint your nails or try a new makeup look.
That’s all I have for now, I hope this has been somewhat helpful!
